We are seeking a passionate and capable Generalist Civil Lawyer to join our team. This role is ideal for:
- A reasonably experienced lawyer looking to apply their civil law expertise in a meaningful way, or
- A motivated junior lawyer with strong foundational skills, a commitment to social justice, and the ability to hit the ground running.
You will provide legal advice and representation across a broad range of civil law matters including tenancy, consumer rights, employment, debt, social security, elder law, and equal opportunity law.

Community Justice Services South Australia (CJSSA) is a not-for-profit organisation that provides free legal assistance to disadvantaged and vulnerable clients residing in the Southern, Southeast and Riverland regions.
We are seeking a senior lawyer based in our Head Office Noarlunga office, with experience across a range of practice areas including: Family Law, Criminal Law (including Traffic Law, Child Protection, Civil Matters (Some immigration law, debt recovery, contract disputes, consumer law, property damage). Together with the Principal and Regional Managing Solicitor, the senior lawyer is also a mentor to junior staff in the legal team.

Our Client
Our client is operates a NFP Legal Centre with government funding assisting clients in areas such as family, civil and criminal law. As the key leader in the organisation you will add value to the lives of disadvantaged and vulnerable people who benefit greatly by the legal services offer at the centre.
This Role
Reporting to the Board and having the day to day management of the legal team, you will be charged with managing a half dozen or so quality lawyers, and delivering services under the charter of the service.
Operating out of offices in the Western Suburbs, with need for occasional travel to country areas, you will have a passion for working with those who need lawyers the most, as they navigate personal issues and associated trauma.
